HI
need help again quickly.
i have a repayment plan to a company with whom i authorised them to take £25 once a month from my bank account.
i realised a couple weeks ago that since May they have been taking £25 TWICE a month from my account.
furthmore when I ask the bank to help they say they cant do anything because the payments were a Switch Payment, when surely they should have been set up as a Direct Debit thus giving me control?
In effect this company is stealing £25 a month from my account and I cannot stop them !
Of ccourse they dont have records of my extra payments. SO I have faxed over all my bank statements and a covering letter asking them to refund the money by the end of the month to a different account or by cheque and to contact me to find out the details. And, I also demanding them to cease all payments from me and instead to send me a giro slip for me to pay at the bank each month as I do not want them holding my bank details.
After sending this fax I called them and they confirmed they had received it and I should be refunded within 1 week.
So this was about 2 weeks ago now and I havent heard shit from them, and when I call up all they are telling me is "its under investigation" and I will get it eventually.
In addition, I just realise a couple of days ago they have taken another payment from my account after I ask them to stop.
Surely this is completely illegial of them, I need help on where to take action against them to get my money back!
Any ideas??? remember they are taking money from my account, its not a direct debit (which seems odd enough). |

OK I am trying to do a peice of coursework in a very short time and don't have enough time to read lengthy books. Its years since I used Access, and I am stuck!
Basically I need to create a relational database where there are Customer Details, Stock Details, Customer Orders (current), Customer Orders (Past), Supplier Purchases and Supplier Details.
I need it so that, for example, if you add a customer order of a certain item, it reduces the Stock count in the Stock table, and also adds the order ID to the Customer Details table in the relevant record etc.
I have NO idea how the hell relationships work and how to make it do this. Can anyone help me out, or at least give me some good links to learn how quickly?
Thanks!!!!!! |

So nothing much has happened. Monday was spent being a bit bored and desperately wanting to move this week (sob), but instead got a few things done. Post Office, Bank, Sorting out details for the new flat etc. Went into town in the afternoon, had a pizza and decided to pay attention to the Ferry Bus in Bristol Centre. Its like a little ferry boat that takes people along the river, and I think its main purpose is to allow commuters to get from one place to the other to avoid traffic (how cute!) but it made for a very interesting ride up and down the river. Wouldnt it be nice to have a boat and just sail off when you like. I find it very funny and amusing that Bristol has a boat designed to take people to work in the morning. Imagine!
Anyway so Tuesday (birthday) was woken in grumpy mood hence grumpy posting but after working out that I could still afford flat despite £40 less wages, panick and bad mood subsided. Spent the afternoon in town, had to give paperwork to new landlord, went on the ferry bus again only this time in the other direction, then had to help someone with a DVD writer thing, and then had a great big fry up for dinner (mmm cholestrol on a plate). I think thats about all I did. A non-eventful day all in all.
The ferry bus was interesting though, we passed a group of harbourmasters trying to fish out a dead body. No we didnt see anything but there was definately a dead person under the water. Nice. Apparently they pop up from time to time but this one I think had jumped in earlier that day and not come back. What is really creepy is that on that same boat ride we saw a graffiti drawing, really creepy one of the grim reaper rowing a boat, on the side of this big scary black ship thing. *shudder*.
Yesterday, had work. VERY boring had not many customers in, ate sweets all day then came home and realised I had left my keys inside that morning so had to call landlord but luckily he was only just up the road. But argh.
So have millions of boxes from Spar, for packing, so think I will do that today.

i dont want to sound like such a miserable bitch on my birthday. so whilst you should still read and sympathise with the other one (lol), im not really that grumpy and miserable. Just getting overly stressed with the move.
I was originally hoping to move on the 11th so that I can be in the new flat for my birthday and have a nice BBQ on the balcony with friends etc. Then it was delayed to the 15th, and on Monday its been delayed to the 22nd because the new landlord fucked something up. Any more crap and I will start getting pissy, seriously, but its just so much hassle and constant disappointment. I *really* want to move now, its boring sitting here waiting, waiting, waiting. And now its my birthday and I am still stuck here in this crap house mess miles from anyone I know so I cant have the birthday BBQ I had wanted, which sucks, and it a tuesday so I cant even go out. Argh!
Then there was the weeks of worry that I wouldnt be able to afford it all this month, I have a whopping total of £1400 to pay out in outstanding rent, new rent and moving costs. Luckily its all pulled together just in time and its not really a problem but then when I get payslips showing nearly £50 less than I expected, it gives me a heart attack and I have to sit and make sure I can still afford everything for the move. And its just stress I dont want or need at 8am on a day thats meant to be fun!!
Lets hope things pick up later :) |

| Happy fucking Birthday to me |
|
|
| 09:00am 13/07/2004 |

mood: enraged
|
So, today I am 20.
And what a lovely reminder of getting older I have.
Payslip comes through, I am charged £63 tax (expected) and £42 national insurance (not expected).
Basically this shit fucking government has taken over £100 of my money for their stupid fucked up little uses. I should have earned nearly £800 this month but nooo I only get paid £670.
Sorry, but I am a full time student. They give me the full loan available but its on paper in fact that their loan is not enough to cover an average students year. So we are expected to work to make the rest of the money. SO how the fuck is it fair for them to take half my fucking earnings away, after I am struggling to work enough just to make sure I can get through my fucking course?!??
Wasnt there once a time when students had DISCOUNTS??? no apparently not. I pay the same amount of tax and NI contributions as every other fucker out there, regardless f the fact that I am physically unable to work full time to get enough money, because oh, im sorry, i have a fucking eduction to attend.
The insult is that they tell me its incase I go into the dole, or for when I draw out a pension. OK, so if I am studying a course which could easily pay in excess of £50,000 a year, do they really think im going to need a fucking pension when i will have savings, err no. So why is it not my choice? If I say No, im not paying that should be fine and then they can turn around IF i ask them for money and say, no, you didnt pay. It was my choice. But i dont even HAVE that choice. And hey, im sure if by the time I die, if I havent had any cash from them for pension or whatever, they sure aint gonna refund what i gave them. stupid fucks.
so, yeah. that was the lovely present I had this morning, on my birthday. waking up and finding out that no they didnt just deduct £63 from my wages but an extra £42 was missing, and theres NOTHING I CAN DO ABOUT IT.
So once again, trouble with affording to move springs up again.
Happy fucking Birthday. |

Poll #319741 Lavyrnia Website Poll - Part 2 - General Stuff
Open to: All, detailed results viewable to: All, participants: 3On a scale of 1 to 10, 1 being dreadful and 10 being amazing, how would you rate my site? What do you think of the logo on my site "Lavyrnia" If you think I should change my logo, what do you think should be changed and any ideas? What do you think of the colour scheme I have? Bear in mind that I also really adore purple and am thinking of having a purple themed site to match my love of the colour? If you don't like the purple, why, and if you think another colour scheme, what? Do you think it would be better to have only graphics on the front pages, or should I have graphics all through the site, and if so, what kind? Do you think its a good idea to have all my external sites (i.e. Yahoogroups Livejournal) customised to match each other colour-wise? Which of these would you think are OK for me to have on my front page? Do you think my site is easy to navigate? Do you think my frontpage and site layout is good? If not Yes to either of these questions, then how can I improve this? Do you prefer individually made buttons, or a clickable image for the menu? How do you feel about frames? Tell me why... Give me some recommendations on what sort of "browser compatibility" / "text size" / "resolution" stuff I should put, if any, and also any sites where I can test my site against these.
Again, comments welcome. |

OK there is some information which I feel you need to know before you vote on this poll:
1. I know I havent done many styles as yet but this is something I am working on and ideally soon I will have lots of different styles of shooting in my portfolio.
2. I would love to get into acting, including mainstream films if need be, however I have heard many people say that casting directors are really bad for typcasting people, that is, casting them in certain roles because they look a certain way.
Now if I am a goth/alternative type, and I give a mainstream casting director the link to my website to see if he likes me for a non-goth role, then chances are he won't bother calling me back simply because he won't see past the fact that I am a goth and won't think I can play a non-goth, if that makes sense.
One way around this is to have a completely seperate site dedicated to all things non-alternative, that way if someone wants me in a non alternative film, I can give them that link and they won't be put off by any goth stuff, and instead consider me more seriously for a role.
However then the problem is that I have to have a different name, and having two names and "personas" online will create all sorts of confusion and difficulty, I would so dearly love to just have one name, one website, and one set of profiles, journals and so on. I dont want to have to run two sets of everything..and then there are the things which will fall into both categories...how will I choose which it goes into?!
So hopefully you see my dilemma. At the moment I am more concerned at getting the alternative site on the go more, but I would be interested to know your opinions.
So:
Poll #319717 Lavyrnia Website Poll - Part 1 - Structure & Names!
Open to: All, detailed results viewable to: All, participants: 3Bearing in mind I dont want people to think I only do one style of modelling, and that I feel that currently my site gives off the impression I *only* do gothic stuff, how should I organise my site? Something else? Do you think I should have two sites, one for gothic/alternative stuff, and the other for mainstream film stuff? If I were to take up a second name for film stuff, I think I would want to keep my name the same, but which variation do you prefer? And what about ideas for a surname, I want something not stupid sounding but ideally something a little bit exotic, non-boring etc. Unlike my current surname! If I do have two different sites then should I have two lots of yahoogroups, profiles, journals etc for both sites, or should I just have the acting site for show, and keep all my profile/online activities under one name? If I had a site for alternative modelling, and a site for mainstream film stuff, if I did say, a gothic film, where should I put it, bearing in mind it might reveal my alter-name?
Comments welcome. |

OK I am looking to re-design my site sometime soon, I have been planning this for months but haven't got around to it yet.
I could do with some opinions about all aspects of my website, so if you can find a few minutes to complete the upcoming polls, and tell me what you think on the questions, it will really help the re-design process for me.
There will be a few different sections to break it up and make it a bit easier, if you haven't got time to do them now, you can visit my site and use the link on the homepage to bring up links to all of the polls directly, so perhaps bookmark it and do it later but lots of reminders will be posted as I want everyone to answer!!
If you want to go and browse my site, its a bit out of date in places im afraid but yeah.
http://www.lavyrnia.com
Please help me by completing the polls. If you want to do it anonamously i've allowed all people to vote so you can do that too by logging out and voting. |

OK so was meant to be moving on Thursday, turns out the new landlord has got his dates mixed up and the girl who is there now isnt leaving until NEXT week.
I spoke to her last night she is very nice, is giving me the fridge & bed for £40 (bargain! and saves me a load of hassle) and its not her fault but its damn inconvinient. Im just glad I hadnt booked the van & stuff.
So I am now looking at moving out on the 22nd. Mum is visiting Sunday until Wednesday so I might pack this week anyway as I dont want to do it when she is here.
Sigh. Im just bored shitless. I cant start anything project wise because I wont have enough time to do it but then, I have too much time to do nothing with. Urgh. |
